Islamic Marriage at SMIC
The Nikah is the sacred Islamic contract required for a valid marriage under Sharia. The Shahjalal Mosque and Islamic Center (SMIC) facilitates this essential service, ensuring the union is conducted according to Sunnah. During the ceremony, the bride and groom provide their freely given consent (Ijab-o-Qubul), and the groom fulfills the requirement of providing the dowry (Mahr) to the bride.
